Mother's Day Gift

I wanted to share with you all the mother's day gift I made my mom. Its a tribute to my dad. As most of you know he passed away from cancer almost two years ago. My parents were married 42 years and meant everything to each other. I hope she likes this...

Top O' the morning to ya. Sorry couldn't resist. Happy St. Patty's day to everyone. I don't really celebrate it. Haha I am not even wearing green today. Sad as all the little kids on my bus pinched me lol.
I send off my package for the DT I am trying out for yesterday, so thats exciting, now just another month of waiting as I wont know for sure until about the 14th or 15th of April. Would make a nice bday gift for me if I made the team tho :) Considering its a $500 prize package to start! I will post pics tomorrow as I am heading out of town for work in a few mins.
I applied for a second job working at Michaels, mostly for the discount lol. But also that way they would have someone int he new store who might know something about the scrapbookign dept. Geez it frustrates me to find they hired people who don't know anything. Sorry a little venting there lol.

Been so long

Wow it has been forever since I posted on here. Life is too crazy for me at the moment I guess. SO some things to catch up on...
I went to the CK convention in Portland, took some classes, attended some crops, won some very neat prizes, including second place in the CK layout contest. WHooo hooo. I was very stoked about that.
I am trying out for a DT right now will keep you posted as to what happens with that. It ends April 10th.
Glad spring break is coming up, maybe I can get some house repairs caught up on. Thats it for now I guess. Hope everyone is safe and heathly.

Wow it has been awhile since I was able to get on here and leave some love. Life has been crazy, work has been busy. I did get another page published in Scrapbook News and Review Magazine so that was pretty cool for me. I am working in portland for about 6 days so I have alot of time on my hands. I got to go to Nike world, that was very cool. I took some pics and will be scrapping them soon. Hope everyone is safe and well.

Hi there

Just checkin in to say hi and let everyone know I am still alive lol. I have been super busy with life and kids and work. My scrapbooking has really taken off lately and I can't seem to stay caught up. But that's ok that is where I want to be with it. Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it is already February. March is around the corner and that will be an exciting month, Spring break what more could you ask for. Also my big convention is the first weekend in March and we have a blast up in Portland. Well off to watch my favorite show Biggest Loser (the only tv I ever watch) Have a great evening.

Having a great day..

Just wanted to share a few things that have happened recently. Aside from having a bout with food poisoning last night, I am having an awesome day. I have been found by one of my dearest friends from school and havent seen or heard from her in about 22 years! So excited to get back in touch with her and her family. Also I had the opportunity to find another friend from my childhood that I havent heard from in many many years and found out she had twins recently! Wow how we all grow up lol. I am excited to hear from her, hopefully she remembers me lol.

OMG!!!!

So I just opened an email that was from Rusty Pickle asking if I would be willing to let them use a layout of mine to be featured in their february newsletter and on their blog! How dang exciting is that? I am so dang stoked. I want to screammmmm. lol Just had to share.

I got the most exciting news today. Scrapbook news and review magazine has accepted some of my layouts for publication. This is like a dream come true. I was so excited I didn't know what to say, or whether to scream or cry, I did actually cry I was so excited. As I know more I will keep you informed. Whooooo Hoooooo for me!!!

I have a feeling...

I have a feeling this month is going to fly by. I actually hope it does for a variety of reasons. For one winter would be closer to being over, I am so tired of the cold. Guess I should think about moving to Fl or somewhere lol.
I am so very sad to say that my vacation is almost over, I have enjoyed being able to scrap as much as possible the last two weeks.
I joined a new challenge called the AGC anything goes challenge. Its alot to keep up with but I have having fun so far with the daily challenges and such. Seems to be some bickering that is going on about points and such, Hope I am not part of that. Too much drama, a few people have already left. :( Sad to see people leave. Anyways I am off to scrap. Have a great weekend.

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy new year! Hope it is safe and prosperous.
I am hoping that 2009 is an awesome year for me, I am expecting some major changes this year and will keep you posted as they come about. I am hoping my scrapbooking resume continues to grow and evolve as well.

One week left

Well I have one week of vacation left. I cleaned the house today and now the week is mine to scrap away. My new cricut expression got here today so I was busy hooking it up to the design studio and all. Boy it looks like too much fun..if thats possible lol. I finally got the Rusty Pickle paper I have been waiting for and finished my sketch layout. I wish our local scrapstores sold it. :(

Thank goodness the holidays are over.

I am so glad that the holidays are finally over and life can get back to normal (as we know it) at my house. I am not sure why we let the holidays get the best of us and make us all run around like chickens with our heads cut off but they always seem to. I myself am making an effort to get my shopping done way earlier them usual and things mailed by the end of Oct. (we will see if that happens). lol

A little toot

Just have to toot my own horn a little here. For those of you that I haven't wrangled down and told this to, Two of my layouts were selected by Cosmo Cricket(a scrapbooking company) to use on their website! For those of you that aren't familier with it, this is a huge honor.
I am lucky enough to have had many layouts win challenges and contests. Yes (I am boasting, it is my blog so I can do that here lol) I am proud of this. I never thought I would be good enough at the hobby I love so much to have this happen. I am so happy to be able to spend as much time scrapping as I am able to. Hopefully there will be many more toots to come as I get better and better.
